Large trees may have weak branch unions. Support cables can be installed to reduce the possibility of branch failure. This is the same cable that is used to support wooden power line poles. We use "Wire Stops" instead of traditional "cable wraps and thimbles". These cables are "Permanent", but may need to be supplemented after about ten years of further growth of your tree. Cables help reduce the risk of tree branch union failure caused by high winds or heavy snow or ice.
